Targeted execution of Dawood Ibrahim?

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi of the BJP surely startled many viewers in an ABP TV Hindi discussion show “Live Debate” starting at 1800 hours today (Aug 29). In response to a remonstrance by a Pakistani, some Pirzada, that Dawood was not anywhere in his country, Naqvi said “just wait 2 or 3 months” and everybody will see, he said, an occurrence involving the so-called “D-Company” chief that would resemble the action taking out Osama bin Laden by US Special Forces action in Abottabad.

This is the first plain speaking that I know of on the subject of Dawood being eliminated by means of targeted execution. Interested people will, no doubt, wait and see what happens in 3 month timeframe. But such public alerting, while avoidable, will make no difference to the Indian hunters/executioners on Dawood’s trail, even less to the Mumbay criminal kingpin/terrorist ‘coz he has survived to-date principally because he’s well informed (buying off information from any and all sources) and is very mobile to escape offering himself as stationary target. The targeted execution is an option India has always had but has not so far shown the will to carry out against enemies of the Indian state. May be change is in the air and Naqvi was referring to this prospective action by a new dispensation headed by Narendra Modi in Delhi. Just may be India will transition from a soft state to a hard one, where especially rogue elements within the country, and escapees outside the country, will not be spared.

Sir, are our Defence forces really capable of launching Abbottabad type operation, will our bleeding heart liberals/secular leftist perverts approve of this and they may raise hullabaloo in the country na Sir,last but not the least this action will not win votes also na Sir as indians are callous/insensitive towards national Security

  2. RV says:

If any trace of credence is to be given to Naqvi’s claim, it may have more to do with recent downturns in Dawood Ibrahim’s health, and serious fractures within his criminal empire. I’m sure Dawood has been in the business long enough to gather sufficient evidence of close financial and personal dealings with many powers-that-be in India, and disperse them in different locations as life insurance against any Indian surgical strike.

Looks like R&AW and ISI are going to be at it for the next couple weeks.

  4. RV says:

Bharat, it may be possible (read attractive) for an Indian military “erasure” unit to terminate Dawood Ibrahim’s existence with extreme prejudice. However, they need to operate within a total information blackout, i.e. NOBODY in the PMO, or anyone even remotely close to Lutyens Delhi, the Bombay Stock Exchange, Bollywood, BCCI, etc. should be in the know in order to minimize chances of a tip off. In this way, justice would be done, and many of the most powerful Indian elite will find themselves liberally doused in a septic tank after Dawood posthumously releases the names of his business and personal contacts. The Congress will be wiped out. However, trusting the BJP would also be fatal. There are at least three BJP “stalwarts” who would be very seriously implicated in high treason.

The sentence in my above post:

“There are at least three BJP “stalwarts” who would be very seriously implicated in high treason.”

      should read as:

“There are at least FIVE BJP “stalwarts” who would be very seriously implicated in high treason.”

  5. Guru says:

Without entering into one party against the other debate, it appears obvious that “wet ops” is the only viable option to take out Dawood. Whoever does it, deserves kudos.

  6. Garg says:

RV is correct that our political establishment is hand in glove with mafia. Charity begins at home. The much larger issue is internal law and order which needs massive improvement. Killing one person in Karachi does not make much difference.
